Winterizing Concrete with DriveHard

Winterizing Concrete with DriveHard     Winter is upon us, so it’s time to winterize your concrete! When rain, snow or ice settles into the cracks of concrete and/or saturates the substrate, concrete will shift and move every time freezing and thawing occurs. This reoccurring movement can make the cracks expand (when water freezes it can expand about 9%) or it can create brand new cracks.  This can potentially be very harmful to concrete surfaces, especially when left unprotected.

Concrete Stamped & Stained Driveway

Stamped Concrete & Stained Driveway Jim Currie, a certified NewLook Installer, did a wonderful job on the stamp work on the base of this residential driveway.  He started by prepping the surface, cleaning and making sure the sub-straight was porous enough to accept product. After masking off the area, Currie used NewLook’s SmartColor to make the entrance more becoming.  He started by putting a SC-102 Oyster down to make the stamp work more uniform. Stamped Concrete Patio – SlabFX Paul Patton, Certified NewLook Installer, of SlabFX in Louisiana was behind this wonderful stamped concrete patio.  He started by prepping the concrete to make it porous and clean for the stain to adhere completely.  He used Original Solid Color Stain in Light Wheat (283) as the base and a combination of two Translucent Enhancers in Mountain Brown (294) and Summer Sand (297).
